Sack Attack (2011-2012)
Participating in TSA’s Technosphere and National events was an absolutely amazing experience for Team Alvin! We were all excited until we realized that we would be competing against high school students. In Technosphere, we qualified fourth and were asked to join the top seed for the playoff rounds. In the semi-finals, we won the first two rounds and moved on to the finals. First round of the finals, we lost because tape had gotten wrapped around our wheels. We moved to the other playing field for the final rounds. We won the next round making it tied. In the last round, our autonomous program ran flawlessly setting the tone for the round. From this point on, the match was ours - we won!
In Nationals, we were awarded the Excellence Award as well as second place in overall, second in programming, and fifth in driver control. Team Alvin walked out very proud and ready to begin working on “Alvin, Jr.!”
